We met singer Diggy Simmons at Atlantic Records when he was in Manhattan recently. He told us he was born in Queens and now lives in New Jersey.
I mean sometimes. I'm a person, like I'm a very free spirit and I like to do what I want to do. So it really just depends on focus. So being that I'm older now I definitely have more focus and I definitely say I'm better in school now than I was before.
My new album is called "Unexpected Arrival," and I'm very proud of it and I'm really confident in it. I took a lot of time working on it to make sure it was perfect for all my fans and be able to deliver just a great message.
My favorite song to perform when I'm on stage? I like performing my newest single, "Do It Like You," a lot because a lot of people enjoy it and they love to sing the words along with me. So that's a fun song to perform.
From my aunt. She just like used to call me Diggy when I was really young. So I can't even remember when it started.
Fame isn't something that really phases them. They don't really care about the fame part, they're really just excited that I'm doing what I'm doing. I'm pursuing my dreams and I'm able to make music and have the world enjoy it.
I do. I'm 17, so yeah, I live with my parents.
That's a good question. I would say it's my favorite thing to do. Definitely one of my favorite things to do. Probably my top three things that I love to do. I started rapping in 2009. So that was like three years ago.
Do you know what writer's block is? Yeah, sometimes -- that's probably the hardest part about rapping is getting writer's block sometimes, but then you know when you do certain things you have to step away from them and breathe and just chill and let it naturally come to you instead of trying to force it.
Just life, really. Having a lot to talk about, and I get it in the form of writing and then I put it into music.
No, I'm single.
I have a tutor and they say it's home school, but since I travel so much I guess it's like being travel school.
My favorite is English for sure.
One of my favorites I would definitely say is Kanye West.
I don't have a license yet. I could have my permit, but I don't yet because I travel so much.
Yes, I have a dog. I have a dog that I've had since I was 5.
