Kidsday: Radcliffe succeeds on Broadway
The Broadway revival "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" is a musical comedy starring Daniel Radcliffe as J. Pierrepont Finch and John Larroquette as J.B. Biggley.
The show is about a window washer who finds a book telling him how he can succeed in business. He chooses the World Wide Wicket Co. to work at, and tries to become the head of the company. The musical is very colorful, with great songs and terrific choreography.
The musical originally opened in 1961 and has been revived before. There's also been a movie. This version is different from the other ones, and has a great cast. The main stars were chosen wisely, and the show would not be nearly as good without them.
Anyone who goes to this show is in for a treat, and won't waste any money. Basically, "How to Succeed" succeeds on Broadway. If you are a fan of Daniel Radcliffe, get your tickets soon; his last performance is Jan. 1.

Call me a 'Spider-Man' fan
I went to see "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" recently. It has been around a year, but if you haven't seen it yet, put tickets for it on your holiday wish list. It is marvelous, exciting, must-see family entertainment.
It includes the underdog Peter Parker (played at my performance by Matthew James Thomas) battling his way through the worst evil of all: high school!
The music in the show is phenomenal. I was lucky enough to talk to some of the actors in the show, including Thomas and Sean Samuels, who stars as Swiss Miss. Samuels even went to my school, Long Island High School for the Performing Arts in Syosset.
This show is a definite 5 (out of 5).
