Paint parties for kids on Long Island
Here are some spots that offer paint parties and classes for kids — skipping the “sip” (for obvious reasons).

Mainly a paint-and-sip spot for adults, Pinot's Palette (61 W. Main St., Bay Shore) also has Paint Your Selfie self-portrait classes for kids. The studio also offers Little Brushes Kids Parties, open to children ages 6-12, to celebrate a birthdays. You never need worry there's something without paint happening at Casa de Spin (81 Grand Ave., Massapequa), as they do one thing here -- spin art. Key To My Art

Paint events are held frequently at Key To My Art (10 W. Oak St., Amityville), especially weekends. The website will let you know what theme will be in play, which can change daily or hold to one focus during weeks when the kids are off from school. Most paint events at Mini Monet (64 Railroad Ave., Sayville) are nights aimed at teens and older, but there is a steady flow of weekend and holiday afternoon sessions, and even evenings (7-9 p.m.) for kids ages 6 and older. Aside from hours of paint time that can be reserved in advance, The Painted Canvas (5768 Rt. 25A, Wading River) has actual Paint and Snack events. Adults can do the familiar Paint and Sip thing, but younger paint aficionados can sign up for two-hour classes where they can paint a picture of a dessert, while eating an actual example of what they're creating.
