There are many things to do as you learn how to ride a horse. This is what you need when you start horseback riding. You need a stable where you can take lessons, a trainer, clothing, boots and a helmet. If you are more experienced; for the horse you need brushes, saddle, bridle, saddle pads and a blanket. I have all this taken care of for me at the Island Hills Stables in Ridge.

To learn how to ride, you need a trainer. Once you get more experienced and learn how to steer, you will learn how to trot. When you pass all the basic skills you go on to cantering and jumping and then galloping and jumping.

I hope you will try horseback riding like me. I started at age 3. If you go to camp and spend more time with horses, you will learn how to take care of a horse and to gain the horse’s trust. When I am off from school, I go to the stable and to camp. I go for an hour, but I would really like it if I could go every day.
