Long Island identical twins pen another children's book
Twin sisters Sheila and Letty Sustrin have penned another book in the Mrs. Belle series.
Twin sister authors Sheila and Letty Sustrin return with the fifth book in their “Teacher Who Would Not Retire” children’s series. The former first-grade teachers from Deer Park have published “The Teacher Who Would Not Retire Loses Her Ballet Slippers” (Blue Marlin, $17.95).
Mrs. Belle is distraught when she can’t find the ballet slippers the children expect her to wear every day in the town of Laurelville. The townspeople join in to help search for her slippers, with the children chanting, “Mrs. Belle, what can we do? We must find your slippers for you.”
On Nov. 16, the sisters had a live reading at the Boulton Center in Bay Shore; attendees received a complimentary Mrs. Belle calendar.
