Helping my mom has taught me all about makeup

Going into the makeup business is almost like art class. I should know, because my mom has worked at MAC Cosmetics in the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove for 13 years!

I like to visit my mom at work and even help out once in a while. Sometimes I help her clean her makeup brushes for work, or I’ll watch her apply makeup on herself or a customer. I get to learn about the color wheel, what makeup items go where and how to do many different looks. My favorite thing to do is to make “face charts” and try new styles!
