‘Madagascar’ children’s musical comes to Northport’s Engeman Theater

“Madagascar: A Musical Adventure” is the newest children’s theater production at the John W. Engeman Theater at Northport, opening March 25 and running through April 30.
Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo and the plotting penguins escape from the Central Park Zoo and land in Madagascar. The play is based on the DreamWorks animated film.
Shows will be at 11 a.m. Saturdays and 10:30 a.m. Sundays; tickets are $15. Purchase them by calling 631-261-2900 or visiting engemantheater.com. The theater is at 250 Main St. in Northport.
