Have you ever made a mosaic? Mosaics are pieces of art. They can be made with broken pieces of glass, tile, or china. My aunt taught me how to make mosaics and now I'll tell you.

First, you get some broken pieces of smooth-edged glass, tile or china. Any kind will do. The pieces can be shiny or dull, large or small, colorful or dull, plain or speckled.

Next, you will need a platform (a base). Wood, metal, plastic or copper will do. After you have all the supplies, you'll then want to plan a design, or just see how it goes as you're putting it together.

Then you'll need to get the help of an adult because you'll need to use a hot glue gun. Be careful not to get burned! Arrange the pieces where you want them and then glue them down one by one. You will just love creating a mosaic. They come out absolutely beautiful.
