Mom's night out Thursday at three Long Island malls

Enjoy a mom’s night out at a mall during the Simon Malls’ first “Indulge” event in honor of Mother’s Day from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Station, Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove and Roosevelt Field in Garden City. It’s free.

Here’s what’s on the agenda at each venue:

-- The Walt Whitman Shops’ night out is hosted by Leeana, co-host of the "Morning Show with Steve and Leeana" on WKJY / 98.3 FM. Local musicians Kevin Bachelor Duo and The i Rockers will perform. Fashion shows will feature spring looks from Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Anthropologie, Triumph, Banana Republic and Caché; Lord & Taylor will offer a fashion segment with Jones New York. The Shimmy Shimmy Dance Studio and Dance with Me will present  the following: Women Auto Know will offer automotive tips, and Psychic Medium Bobbi Allison will do a group reading. Women can try out an indoor nine-hole mini-golf course. They’ll also enjoy mini-hairstyle sessions from Aire Blow Dry Bar and cosmetics demonstrations provided by Sephora, Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s.

-- Roosevelt Field’s night out will be hosted by on-air personality Astra from WBLI / 106.1 FM. Long Island Blues Hall of Famer Sweet Suzi and Cass Dillon, a singer/songwriter from Long Island, will perform. Aveda will offer hand massages. There’ll be a raffle to win tickets to see Broadway’s "Matilda" and VIP tickets to "Cinderella." Long Island companies -- including LIU Post Youth Camps, Truth + Beauty Spa, UdevelopME, Total Empowerment Training, European Wax Center and Kia -- will be present, and an event guide will direct mothers to sales, special activities and giveaways going on inside individual retailers.

-- Smith Haven Mall‘s celebration will be hosted by Jayson from WBLI / 106.1’s "Dana and Jayson in the Morning" along with a DJ. Mother/son duo AJ and Company will provide an acoustic performance from 7 to 8 p.m. Fashion shows will feature spring looks from Macy's, LOFT and White House ? Black Market. Mini makeovers by Bobbi Brown and Estee Lauder will be provided courtesy of Macy’s cosmetics department, and Sola Salon Studios of Port Jefferson Station will give women new looks with hair extensions and other salon services. Complimentary facials will be given in-store, courtesy of L'Occitane. A raffle will give participants a chance to win a four-pack of tickets to Broadway’s "50 Shades of Grey."
