Nothing says "I love you" more than a homemade Mother's Day gift. And what's better than candy and flowers? I found this fun craft, which also doubles as a festive dessert on Mom's special day, in the May 2014 issue of FamilyFun magazine.

For each, start with a generously frosted mini cupcake. Press the candies listed into the frosting as shown in the image (at left). Here's what you'll need:

Flower 1
Petals: Large gumdrops rolled flat and cut into thin strips
Center: Large gumdrop

Flower 2
Petals: M&M’s
Center: Sour Punch Straws cut diagonally

Flower 3
Petals: Raspberry candies and Sour Punch Straws cut diagonally
Center: Small gumdrop

Flower 4
Petals: Mini marshmallows topped with flower sprinkles (attach them with frosting using a toothpick)

Flower 5
Petals: Licorice twists cut diagonally
Center: Blackberry candy

Flower 6
Petals: Mike and Ike candies
Center: Gumball

Flower 7
Petals: Licorice pastels
