Pennies 4 Pandas is a nonprofit group run by eight panda-loving kids who want to save the pandas through our fundraising events. Our goal is to make sure pandas never face extinction.

It all started in fall 2016. We were at recess in school, brainstorming ways we could raise money for our cause. We started running fundraising stands at local festivals around Sayville. We sell many things, including panda pencils, note pads, tattoos, and lollipops.

We donate the money to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). We have raised more than $500.

Recently a parent of one of our members has offered us some office space to meet and plan our upcoming events. Aside from helping the pandas, our organization is a way for us to learn about world issues and how anyone can make a difference, no matter what age we are. There is also a Pennies 4 Pandas international organization (pandasinternational.org), but we are doing this on our own!
