Product Review: FireFly Toothbrush

Harrison Kellogg McKenna tests the FireFly Toothbrush.
“You’re not done brushing — brush, brush, brush,” I holler to my son day in and day out wherever I am in the house. The fact that he uses an electric toothbrush allows me to tell exactly how long he’s been brushing — and it’s often not as long as it ought to be. Who can blame the overscheduled boy?
That is where the FireFly Toothbrush from Dr. Fresh might help (99 cents). With a squeeze, it lights up for one minute — which, as the packaging points out, is a minute less than dentists recommend brushing.
My son tested a blue FireFly for two rounds (here he is!), and for kicks I turned out the lights. Our bathroom suddenly transformed into a toothbrushing rave.
I will have my son go back to an electric brush because I understand it cleans teeth better. Maybe we'll see a battery-operated FireFly in the future?
