Kids weigh in on changes to school year

We took a survey in lunch rooms. We asked if students would prefer to have a longer summer than we have now. Of course, there is a trade-off — the school day would have to be longer, so that we are there for the same number of hours. Here is what we found out:
Yes, have a longer school day and longer summer: 96
No, keep the same school day and summer: 95
We noticed that the results were nearly tied. That didn’t surprise us, because we were pretty much tied as well!
Julianna said if she were asked the question, she would definitely think that it wasn’t worth it to stay in school for even half an hour longer than she does now.
Chelsea and Alexis disagree — they think it would be better to have a longer summer and make the sacrifice of a longer school day. What do you think?
