Is a school uniform suitable?

In our school we wear a uniform. I wanted to know how kids in my school felt about that, so I conducted a survey with my classmates. Here's what I found out:

Yes to uniform: 5

No to uniform: 19

Just so you know, I like them! We have to buy the school uniform, but our school helps kids who are in financial need. One reason I like the school uniform is that when you're late for school you don't have to decide on an outfit — you can just get the uniform and go out the door. Another reason I like the uniform is that I think it looks good. I like that I get to wear my red and blue school colors. Finally, I like the uniform because it represents our school and I like being able to do that when we're on a field trip.

A few kids chimed in on why they don’t like them. One kid said the uniform is bland and doesn’t have style. Another classmate agreed with that and said she wished the colors were just a bit brighter. Another classmate said he didn’t like it because the buttons bothered him. He would rather wear a T-shirt.
