Did you know that Sesame Street's pink fairy Abby Cadabby is a child of divorce?

Sesame Street has launched a new, free, multimedia initiative called “Little Children, Big Challenges: Divorce” to help children ages 2 to 8 adjust to the transition in an age-appropriate way. The video component begins with Abby Cadabby drawing her two houses, one where she lives with mom and one where she lives with dad.

The multimedia resource kit includes video featuring a Muppet story about divorce and segments of real families sharing their divorce experiences; a parent/caregiver guide; a children’s storybook called “Two-Hug Day”; an online tool kit and webinars and online discussion sessions geared toward service providers and families.
