Should “Frozen” lead character Elsa have a female love interest in the Disney sequel?
After one 17-year-old Twitter user tweeted, “I hope Disney makes Elsa a lesbian princess imagine how iconic that would be” and followed up with a tweet that says “Dear @Disney, #GiveElsaAGirlfriend,” the idea spread. The hashtag has been retweeted thousands of times.
Even Idina Menzel, the voice of Elsa, has weighed in on the idea. “I think it’s great,” she told ET. “Disney’s just gotta contend with that. I’ll let them figure that out.”
