Did you miss the Diaper Derby last month at the Smith Haven Mall? You’ve got another chance to enter your tiny tot when Roosevelt Field mall holds its first Diaper Derby from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Babies younger than 1 who are not yet walking can compete in the crawling competition. Entry is free, but the deadline to sign up is Thursday at Simon Guest Services at Roosevelt Field, 630 Old Country Rd. in Garden City. Babies will race down colorful lanes. At the event at Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove, which is also a Simon Mall property, close to 60 babies competed in 10 heats that culminated in the finale. Most babies brought entourages that included Mom and Dad, older brothers and sisters, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
