What’s one blunder Snooki confesses she made with her newborn?

Strapping an iPad to his crib.

In her new book, “Baby Bumps: From Party Girl to Proud Mama, and all the Messy Milestones Along the Way” (Running Press, $22),  “Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi talks about how she and her husband, Jionni LaValle, used the iPad when their son, Lorenzo, now 16 months old, was just born. “He’s not even a year old and he knows how to get to his favorite tunes and videos,” she wrote. “He loves his music and rocks out in his crib every night.”

But in a recent interview with me, Polizzi admitted that was a mistake she and Jionni have since corrected.

“That actually turned out to be a really bad idea. We took it down probably three months ago. When he was a newborn we would put him down in the crib and he would cry. We put the iPad up to play nice Mozart music and stuff like that on YouTube and he would go to sleep. But then once he got a little older he realized, ‘OK, I can’t go to sleep unless that’s on.’ He got in that habit. So we stopped that.”

Polizzi will be at The Book Revue in Huntington at 7 p.m. Wednesday promoting her book on her pregnancy and motherhood experience. See more from my interview with Snooki here.
