Stew Leonard’s in Farmingdale is hosting an art contest for kids.
In honor of Earth Day, children ages 5 to 11 can enter their artwork to help create a new look for the store’s reusable shopping bags. Simply submit a drawing that best represents the idea of “shopping for farm fresh produce at Stew Leonard’s.”
Store employees will choose two winning drawings, which will be printed on a Stew Leonard’s bag with each winning child’s first name, hometown and age. Children must submit their own work using crayons, colored pencils, markers or paint. The winners will be judged on artistic merit and creativity.
The bag will be available for purchase in the Farmingdale store starting in August. Net proceeds from the sale of the reusable bags will be donated to Stew Leonard III Children’s Charities.
Download the entry form at stewleonards.com/reusablebagcontest16; limit one entry per person. Entries must be submitted to the customer service desk by 9 p.m. April 30 at Stew Leonard’s, located at 261 Airport Plaza in Farmingdale.
