With Disney’s latest app, story time is going digital.

“La Luna: The Story Project” is based on the 2011 Pixar short film “La Luna” and offers kids and parents a whole new way to experience the charming narrative.

The sweet short tells the tale of Bambino, a little boy looking forward to the night he can finally go to work with his father and grandfather. As the night begins, he realizes that their secret profession is more magical than he ever could have imagined. With his wide-eyed demeanor and strong spirit, Bambino teaches kids always to stay curious.

In addition to allowing users to watch the full feature film, the iPad-compatible app includes an interactive storybook complete with watercolor illustrations and fun opportunities for little ones to play along.

For parents and older kids, the app also offers behind-the-scenes insights into how the film was made, including details about storyboards and original artwork.

“La Luna: The Story Project” is available now in the app store.
