A pair of superhero-themed brunches are flying into two Long Island restaurants this April, offering more than just fun meals for kids.

At the Milleridge Inn, a brunch of heroic proportions is taking place on April 3. Superheroes are set to join the families during their seatings between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The characters slated to appear are named "Spy Hero," "American Hero" and "Spider Hero." They'll interact with families and be available for photo-ops during a sit-down brunch buffet.

“The whole atmosphere is what we are looking forward to,” says Alyssa Oliveri, 34, a mother of two from Old Bethpage. She has brought her children to other themed brunches at the Milleridge, and she says she’ll be at the April 3 meal because “it's always so fun going there and seeing the kids meet their favorite characters.”

Kids are welcome to arrive dressed in costume too, although Oliveri laughs while admitting that decision won’t be made until the day of, depending on the moods of her children.

For another opportunity later in the month, Gatsby on the Ocean, located at Jones Beach, will be hosting its first-ever “Superheroes Brunch” on April 24. With sessions at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., the cast of heroes has yet to be determined. A crew of five will be there and ready to pose for photos; guests of all ages are welcome to arrive in costumes. Themed drinks will be available for kids and adults.
