Summer vacation may soon be over, but there are plenty of activities to look forward to doing with the kids come September.
Butterfly House

More than 200 butterflies live in the Nature Center's butterfly house. Get a guided tour of the house and learn the stages of a butterfly's life. Children's craft included.

Kidsfest is an afternoon filled with fun, educational activities and music. The Shady Storybook Stroll is a lesson on environmental preservation, including a kids' garden tour and a reading of the Dr. Seuss classic "The Lorax." At Maskers of Disguise, children will disguise themselves as frogs, rabbits and other wildlife residents.
