Before the Rockettes kick off another year of the "Radio City Christmas Spectacular," they're making a pit stop on Long Island this week.
Two Rockettes will be visiting the Marchand's School of Dance (451 Route 25A #7) in Miller Place on Tuesday, from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. and Oceanside Dance (3394 Long Beach Rd.) in Oceanside on Thursday, from 2 to 3:15 p.m.
The dancers will teach a 30-minute dynamic stretch class with mothers and daughters, followed by a dance class where students will learn signature Rockettes choreography and more.
Although this is a closed event, you can catch the Rockettes at the "Radio City Christmas Spectacular," featuring "Rag Dolls," a classic dance number that originally debuted in 1940 that has been re-imagined for 2014. The "Living Nativity," "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers" and the finale number, "Snow," which transforms the hall into a winter wonderland, will also remain part of the show. The show runs Nov. 7 through Dec. 31.
