My little Lego fanatic loved the new line of Angry Birds building sets, now out from K’NEX. In fact, 8-year-old Harrison said they were Legos, until I corrected him. That was definitely a nod of approval.
The concept is as you might imagine — bring the world-dominating Angry Birds app to life on your dining room table, or neatly made bed, or anywhere else there’s a little space. Build an elaborate structure based on a guide, put together a launcher and then use it to catapult an angry (-looking) bird into a bunch of pigs.
Building sets are available for a suggested retail price of $29.99 or $10.99 (for intro sets) at www.knex.com, Toys R Us, Walmart, Target and other toy retailers.
