The book “Judy Moody and Triple Pet Trouble,” by Megan McDonald (Candlewick Press) is a good book. Judy’s pet, Jaws the Venus fly trap, is definitely sick. Judy tries everything to cure Jaws. Judy gave Jaws water, she sang him a song, and she even read him a book. One day, Judy got some mail. The flyer said there was a grand opening for Carnivore City. A place called Cape Fear Carnivore City was opening.

Judy and her dad took Jaws there. Judy talked to the worker, whose name was Peter Tomato. Peter helped Judy with her plant. Judy first picked out a pot. Next she planted Jaws into the dirt next to a red and green North American pitcher plant. Jaws had a new buddy, Petunia. They gave Jaws flies that he could eat. Jaws was now cured and not sick anymore.

I recommend this book to kids ages 6 to 9. The book entertained me a lot. The illustrations went very well with the story.
