Are you a person who loves to draw and wants to show it off? If you do, then you should enter the Tulip Festival Contest next year like I did last year!

Elisa Brosnan, my art teacher, introduced this contest to my Studio in Art class, and I liked what it was about. I got to pick any site that was related to Heckscher Park and draw it.

I drew a picture of an area from Heckscher Park showing a bridge with tulips in front and a river in the background. \Drawing is a hobby of mine, so it was fun drawing this. I found out I got second place in the Tulip Festival Contest, which is run by the Huntington Arts Council. I was really proud of myself for doing my best while also having a good time.

In addition to the contests and events at the Heckscher Park, they have a pond with plants and wildlife, walking area, tennis court and playground. You can enjoy these with your friends and family.
