Ultimate Sneaker Expo returns to LI on Sept. 17

The Ultimate Sneaker Expo, put together by DJ Clark Kent and SM Event Group, returns to Long Island from noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 17 at The Sports Arena, 620 Middle Country Rd., St James.
Sneaker enthusiasts can buy or trade sneakers; about 300 vendors are expected. Tickets are $20 to $25 at ultimatesneakerexpo.com. A parent is free with a child under 12 years old with a ticket purchased through the website.
This year the event has partnered with Heeling Soles, a charity that provides new or gently used sneakers to the feet of those in need. Heeling Soles is asking attendees for donations; each attendee who brings a pair of sneakers will not have to wait on line.
