Looking for things to do with the kids this weekend? There's so much going on around Long Island, from free family events to workshops, performances and more. Here are my favorites for this weekend:

1. Bug Bonanza at the Long Island Children's Museum,  11 Davis Ave., Garden City. On Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. children of all ages can learn about bug anatomy, create an insect craft and participate in fun challenges. This event is free with museum admission.

2. Cinderella at the John W. Engeman Theater in Northport, 250 Main St. Follow along with this fairy tale as a young woman searches for her prince. Catch a show on Saturday at 11 a.m. or Sunday at 10:30 a.m.; tickets are $15.

3. Family Fun Carnival at Red Robin Country Day School and Camp, 878 Jericho Tpke., Westbury. This free event benefits programs for families with autism is on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Kids can enjoy carnival rides, games, a petting zoo, face painting and more.

4. Fun for Kids: Scavenger Hunt at Connetquot River State Park Preserve in Oakdale. On Sunday from 1:30 to 3 p.m., children ages 5 and up can search for items on a provided list. There's an $8 parking fee, $4 adults, $3 children.

5. Raptors and S'mores at the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center, 134 Cove Rd., Oyster Bay. Learn about the history of the raptors that live in the sanctuary and enjoy s'mores around a campfire. The event is $10 on Sunday from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
