Looking for things to do with the kids this weekend? From workshops and Thanksgiving fun to "Rapunzel" and more, there's much to do on Long Island. Here are my top five picks for family-friendly activities this weekend:

Rapunzel at Bellmore Movies (222 Pettit Ave., Bellmore) on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. Families can enjoy a live musical performance based on the classic fairy tale. Price: $10

Rocking Roller Coasters at Center for Science Teaching and Learning (1 Tanglewood Rd., Rockville Centre) on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. As part of the center's Saturday Science Series, kids will learn about roller coasters and build their own model. Appropriate for ages 7 to 12. Price: $12

Celebrate Native American Culture at Long Island Science Center (11 W. Main St., Riverhead) on Saturday, Nov. 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, kids can explore exhibits and learn about what the Native Americans taught the settlers. Price: $5

Fingerprinting Workshop at Maritime Explorium (101 East Broadway, Port Jefferson) on Saturday, Nov. 16 and Sunday, Nov. 17 from 1 to 5 p.m. Kids can learn about forensic science and make all kinds of prints. Materials provided. Price: $5

Turkey Talk at Long Island Children's Museum (11 Davis Ave., Garden City) on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 3:30 p.m. Kids can learn why turkey is the mainstay of Thanksgiving dinner and dress up their own turkey decoration. Appropriate for children ages 5 and up. Price: $3 with museum admission.
