Where to find Santa on Long Island

Santa has set up shop at Long Island malls, with photo packages available for purchase. He's also to be found in parades, at tree lightings and other holiday venues.

And, if you want to write a letter to Santa, the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums will forward letters to the North Pole until Dec. 15.

Letters received by that date with a legible name and return address will be answered by Santa before the holiday.

Letters should be dropped off in mailboxes at any of the county parks. No postage necessary.

Stores will be offering holiday cheer with refreshments and entertainment. Santa's workshop will offer interactive events for children. Characters actors will be walking around the village in attire from the Charles Dickens-era, model trains will be on display, shows with marionette puppets, ice carvings, and more.
