Do you know what you would do if there was a zombie attack?
Besides run, there are other techniques you can use, which will also help you prepare for natural disasters, like a tornado or earthquake.
REI (144 Glen Cove Rd., Carle Place) is hosting it's first-ever Zombie Survival Guide class at 7 p.m. on Thursday,Oct. 25 -- just in time for Halloween.
There is no age restriction for the class -- kids and adults alike will learn survivial skills and what gear and supplies you'll need to make it through a natural disaster. The instructor will discuss the 10 essential items that should be in an emergency preparedness kit, learn escape routes, meet-up locations and more.
You'll also learn how to spot a zombie, the life cycle of zombies and where to attack them.
This event is free; zombie gear and Halloween costumes are encouraged.
