It was a serene, dream sequence at BCBG, where silk and gauze whisper-pale dresses, including watery shades of peach and mint (so delicate), seemed to float down the runway.

At first the absence of color and long, lean silhouette, well, had you wondering, a touch too minimalist? A yawn, perhaps? Nope. Max and Lubov Azria have cut through the frou-frou, leaving only the essence of chic behind.

Most of the dresses featured an architectural detail, often in the back – geometric cutouts, cat’s cradle-like straps – seemingly simple but special. And for those who needed to see some more skin, there were a few bathing suits with sexy slashes – worn, ahem, with booties that looked a lot like those on several front-row celebs, including Estelle.
