Serious shoppers know — when it comes to Black Friday, you need to have a plan. Like it or not, stores across Long Island are opening Thanksgiving Day to trot out deals on the busiest shopping day of the year. Some will remain open overnight to draw deal-seekers in the wee morning hours.

Here’s a look at opening and closing times, and some top deals:

THANKSGIVING DAY: THURSDAY, NOV. 26

6 a.m.

Kmart opens with doorbusters such as $2.99 board games through 5 p.m. Stores remain open until 10 p.m. Friday.

3 p.m.

JCPenney stores open. Early birds get $10 off $10 or $100 off $100 coupon.

4 p.m.

Michaels opens, with an additional 30 percent off all purchases until 2 a.m.

Old Navy opens with 50 percent off entire store. Shopping continues through Friday at midnight.

5 p.m.

Best Buy opens with deals such as a 60-inch Samsung 4K Ultra HD TV for $799.99. Tickets for doorbuster items will be handed out up to 2 hours before opening.

Select ToysRUs stores open with Thursday-only deals including buy one get one 80 percent off Skylanders SuperChargers toys.

6 p.m.

Broadway, Green Acres, Roosevelt Field, Smith Haven and Westfield malls open.

Kohl’s opens — first 100 customers get Fandango voucher for two free movie tickets. Through Sunday, shoppers get $15 off future purchase for every $50 spent.

Macy’s opens with shopping through 10 p.m. Friday.

Sears opens with buy one get one for $1 kids slippers.

Target opens. Deals include a $150 gift card with iPad Air 2 purchase, buy one get one 50 percent off many toy brands. Stores remain open through 11 p.m. Friday.

Tanger Outlets in Deer Park and Riverhead open for shopping through 10 p.m. Friday.

Walmart opens with deals including $59 Fitbit Flex, many video games $8-$35 and DVDs priced from $1.96.

10 p.m.

Green Acres mall closes.

11 p.m.

ToysRUs stores close.

Midnight

Sears and Westfield malls close.

BLACK FRIDAY, NOV. 27

1 a.m.

Best Buy closes.

Roosevelt Field and Smith Haven malls close.

2 a.m.

Michaels closes.

6 a.m.

Roosevelt Field, Smith Haven and Westfield malls reopen.

P.C. Richard & Son opens.

7 a.m

Michaels reopens.

ToysRUs re-opens with deals like $1 4-pack Play-Doh.

Walt Whitman mall opens.

8 a.m.

Best Buy reopens with new deals such as a $19.99 HP wireless printer.

1 p.m.

Doorbusters end at Kohl’s.

3 p.m.

Disney snowglobe giveaways start at JCPenney stores.

10 p.m.

Best Buy, Macy’s, Tanger Outlets and most shopping malls close.

11 p.m.

Target closes.

Midnight

Kohl’s closes.
