Here's a look at some of the major retailers' special plans for Black Friday. Many will be waiting until later this week to announce Black Friday specials.
BEST BUY
Open: 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Deals: Look for a doorbuster deal on a Sony Vaio laptop, $399.99; $50 iTunes gift card for $40, according to an ad posted on black-friday.net.
Open 4 a.m. to 11 p.m.Deals: Select puffer jackets, $19.99; select women's cashmere sweaters, $59.99, according to an ad posted on black- friday.net.
JCPENNEY
Open: 4 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Deals: Include diamond pendant, bracelet or ring, $79.99; 1.5-quart slow cooker, $7.88, according to an ad on black- friday.net.
SEARS
Open: 4 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Deals: Include Kenmore washer and dryer, $199 each; Paula Deen 14-piece cookware set, $119.99, according to an ad posted on blackfriday2010.com.
KMART
Open 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Expect deals on home appliances, clothing, electronics, jewelry and more. No ads posted on Black Friday websites in time for this issue.
TOYS R US
Open: 10 p.m. Thursday to midnight Friday night.
Doorbuster deals include 33 percent off Lego construction sets and 20 percent off a McDonald's drive-through with play food, according to an ad posted on black-friday.net.
WALMART
Open 7 a.m. Thursday to midnight Friday night
Deals include: 32-inch Emerson LCD HD TV, $198; HP 15.6-inch 250GB hard-drive laptop, $298, according to blackfriday.com.
TARGET
Open: 4 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Among the doorbusters: Apex 46-inch LCD HD TV, $449; Philips portable dual-screen DVD player, $85, according to ad posted on black-friday.net.
PC RICHARD
Open: 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Expect specials on all manner of electronics as well as home appliances. No ads posted on Black Friday websites in time for this issue.
