Carlos Falchi for Mark

Brazilian-born designer Carlos Falchi celebrates his native land with a sizzling summer collection -- appropriately dubbed Rio -- for Mark.

Falchi is known for his handbags and he’s done a couple for this line. The oversized Rio carryall, $40, is a calming metallic baby blue, lined with a print that mimics the pattern in the Copacabana walkway. There’s also a gold mini bag, $20, perfect for nights on the town.

Any collection called Rio would have to come with a bikini--Falchi’s is in a bright floral that you can buy as separates, $22 each for bandeau top with removable strap and the classic bottom.

There’s also a reversible beach hat, $16; gold gladiator flats, $26, and a pretty sheer floral print dress, $34, that works over the swimsuit, or as a party dress when worn with its blue slip.
