Carrie Underwood, 27, the country rock music star and "American Idol" winner, became Olay’s “first celebrity brand ambassador,” representing products targeted towards younger women who don’t yet have the need for wrinkle combating, anti-aging elixirs, reports Women’s Wear Daily.
A campaign scheduled for November will include TV, print, digital and in-store marketing, the publication reports.
At a gathering, Wednesday morning, WWD reported that Underwood said she has used some product from the Proctor & Gamble owned brand, for “over a decade. Olay is something that women trust," said Underwood. "And I feel like people also have a connection with me and trust me because I can't lie."
Beauty care, she said, "doesn't have to be complicated. You don't have to have 50 things in your medicine cabinet." Amen y'all.
