Gotcha!

Chelsea Clinton, 30, wearing an enormous floppy straw hat that hid her head and face, visited the Vera Wang showroom in midtown Manhattan Tuesday, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

The soon-to-be bride (her wedding to investment banker Marc Mezvinsky is rumored to be July 31 in Rhinebeck, N.Y.) was wearing her hair in a formal updo and full makeup, reports WWD – this, likely a dress rehearsal for the big day.

Hillary Rodham Clinton, who was multi-tasking as Secretary of State and mother-of-the-bride, arrived 15 minutes earlier, each woman accompanied by a posse of Secret Service types, the publication reported.

Though Wang has declined to comment, it is rumored that she will also design the bridesmaids’ dresses and even the flower girl frocks.

Don’t count Hillary-fave Oscar de la Renta out of the first-daughter-fashion-mix, though a spokeswoman there wouldn’t confirm. Both Chelsea and her mom have been spotted at the designer’s 7th Avenue showroom during recent months.  And mama, according to WWD,  was seen dashing into the place earlier Tuesday.

Perhaps the bride will be donning a dress for the ceremony and one for the party, but in any case, there will be plenty of fashion flaunting opportunities during the three-day shindig, which is estimated to cost around $3 million.  Mazel Tov!
