Dior picks Simons as new designerAt last, Dior has a new designer. The French fashion house Monday named Belgian designer Raf Simons, right, its new artistic director, The Associated Press reports. It took them seven months to find someone to replace John Galliano, who was ousted after making anti-Semitic remarks in a Paris bar. Simons, who previously designed for Jil Sander, was considered a top candidate for the job. A statement from Dior said Simons "will inspire and propel into the 21st century" the style of the prestigious house.
