Erica Logan women's boutique reopens in bigger Islip space

New town, same selection of women’s styles. After three years in Hauppauge, Erica Logan clothing boutique has reopened in a bigger, busier space in Islip.

"We’re a store for daughters, mothers and even grandmas," says Tracy Mankowski, 49, who runs the shop with her daughters, Sidney, 26, and Andrea, 24.

The move to Islip was all about boosting business. "We wanted to be in more of a walking town," Sidney says. "This location is a whole new ballgame with a sense of community and foot traffic."

The corner location glow-up with floor-to-ceiling windows offers an eye-opening showcase for the merchandise mix — dresses, skirts, blouses, pants, jewelry, belts and shoes. Boys Lie, Flying Monkey and Yummie are a few of the popular labels.

"We love to pick very different styles for our customers," Tracy says. Coordinated loungewear sets ($90-$140) are among the shop’s top bestsellers, along with blouses ($50-$70), and jeans ($75-$100).

Just like at the Hauppauge location, you can customize caps and pouches with patches available in the store. Customers can also count on a helping hand when it comes to making selections.

The store uses its Instagram channel to announce what’s new and to share ideas for looks. "We post new arrivals as well as outfit of the day," says Andrea, a new addition to the family business who, like Sidney, earned her college degree at High Point University in North Carolina.

"We like to give people inspo for different outfits that they could put together," Andrea says, "and to show people that they can be as creative as they want to be."

Opening day in Islip last month brought a rush of excitement that never goes out of style. "It was so amazing to have familiar faces from the old store, and then get to meet all of the new faces," Tracy says.
