Brooks Brothers' new Fleece line for boys and girls debuted last year (we told you about it round back-to-school time), and now they've opened a Fleece store in Greenvale's Wheatley Plaza--the third such store in the U.S.

Expect classic looks, says Fleece designer Nikki Kule, that are "soft and easy to care for."  And not itchy!

That means no bulky, 100-percent Shetland wool sweaters.  "My mom made me wear those," she says.  "It's not happening."

The line runs from around $30 for tees and simple shirts to $198 for outerwear. In between you've got khakis, button-downs, sweaters and tailored blazers for boys, and sweet dresses, separates and sweaters for girls.  And that girls bit?  Pretty remarkable, as Brooks Brothers never offered girls' clothes before this line came out.

Hey BB, it's about time.  And, uh, thanks for bringing it all close to home at Wheatley Plaza.  (The other Fleece stores are located in Westport, Connecticut, and Kansas City.)

Brooks Brothers Fleece, 412 Wheatley Plaza, Greenvale; 516-625-7380.  Store hours: Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.
