Geek chic and funky crochet at Chris Benz

Lore has it that Seattle-raised Chris Benz used to rummage through his grandmother’s attic as a kid, checking out the antique jewelry and '50s era dolls. That quirky influence -- a vintage-bad-girl-meets-outdoors -- was apparent at his presentation, where models in towering heels, (some visibly weakening from the job) rocked in geek chic bright plaid suits with heavily embellished sequin tops, camo-patterned jackets over slouchy pants, and funky crochet dresses warmed by anoraks. What a gas!
