Halston shows lots of slink
The Halston show, held at an event space on Chelsea’s Far West Side, was packed. There seems to be more interest in the brand now that Sarah Jessica Parker has taken on Halston Heritage, the more affordable division.
Parker was somewhere in the crush, as models stood in groupings according to dress color — including camel (a crepe “kendo” jacket topped cropped trousers), coral (a draped cocktail dress had inventive folds), black (a cropped scarf jacket wrapped around the ribs and up over the shoulders like a halter).
Lots of slinky satin, slits and cutouts, and brass headbands added to a Faye Dunaway-in-the-‘70s type vibe.
