The sun hadn't yet set on Manhattan when designer Michelle Smith showed her Milly Fall 2013 line at Lincoln Center on Wednesday afternoon, but the urban landscape at night is what inspired her.

Smith translated the bright lights, shadows of skyscrapers and luminescent billboards into metallic black and charcoal dresses, hologram skirts, pullovers and clutches that lit up the runway in shiny hues of hot pink and mixes of green and blue.

The look was modern mixed with a punk rock '90s edge while staying true to the fun, spunky style the Milly brand is known for. It was less girly and more menswear focused (a major trend for fall) with leather pants and wool shorts and checkered and houndstooth prints, but cutesy touches like a red lip print on the back of a bomber had the ladies swooning.
