New year, new designer collaboration. Jason Wu's first collection for a mass retailer will hit Target shelves Feb. 5, but eager fashion lovers just couldn't wait to get a peek.

It has been revealed that the collection, said to be inspired by French New Wave films and actress Jean Seberg, includes sporty knits, pleated dresses (a navy blue version with sailor-stripe details is $40), silk neck-tie blouses and a sophisticated canvas satchel ($50 in beige and black, with gold-colored hardware).

Also look out for Milu, the red bow clad black cat chosen as the collection's mascot. Word is he'll be popping up on a T-shirt and scarf.
