L’Oreal Paris has tapped actress Julianna Margulies to appear in advertising for Revitalift, the $100 million anti-aging brand.
The actress, 44, who won a Golden Globe award for her brooding, controlled portrayal as Alicia Florrick, the wronged wife of an unfaithful politician on the CBS hit, “The Good Wife,” has long been flaunting her lovely skin on TV. Anyone remember George Clooney’s love interest on the show “ER”? (That would be nurse Carol Hathaway.)
In a statement, L’Oreal Paris’ president, Karen T. Fondu, said, “Julianna is a charming, inspirational and accomplished woman who embodies the spirit of our brand philosophy, “Because you're worth It.”
In fact, Margulies told Women’s Wear Daily that she grew up reciting the tag line. “I remember the first time I heard [“Because you’re worth it”]. I was young, and I said to myself, ‘When I have money, I will buy beautiful products and feel I’m worth it.’ ”
Print and television advertising, which WWD reports, was shot in New York City where the actress lives, are slated to run next year. Andie McDowell, 52, is currently the face of Revitalift.
For the record, Margulies knows she has great skin. “I always have considered my skin [my best beauty asset] because I got lucky: I have small pores. I am also very pale so I have stayed out of the sun most of my life,” she told WWD.
That maybe true, but we think her eyebrows are in the running for best ever.
