Kenneth Cole is lord of the Twitterverse. Outside his spring presentation Saturday he parked a big truck that blared, “Are you following me?” while inside he encouraged his models to spend time on their phones, tweeting and Instagramming with friends.

It’s all part of the overall look, swiped from the street, of sporty bombers trimmed with bright green snakeskin, scuba tops, leather moto jackets and aaaaaaall that skin glimpsed under athletic mesh tees and sheer anoraks.

There were a few dressier pieces, but not much if you’re going the ladylike route. Look for a scuba color-block shift, or a quilted color-block vest atop a fit-and-flare dress.

Then, of course, there are the shoes, designed with the urban warrior in mind. Think tough-gal gladiators in snakeskin and leather, or lizard-embossed sneakers. They worked well with the don’t-mess-with-me metal cage bracelets and studded cross-bodies.

Around the neck? Simple necklaces that state the obvious: “Look good, feel good.” A mantra well under 140 characters.
