Lacoste lite
A smart, clean, somewhat abbreviated swan song collection from Lacoste creative director Christophe Lemaire, who is moving on to Hermes.
Natch, there were plenty of crisp white pieces, including on-trend pants featuring a higher waist, though these were wide-legged. A billowy, oversized light cotton coat will make a divine spring topper, and there were oodles of miniskirts and shorts (some netted) for athletic types.
The minimalist vibe was balanced by a few cushy cotton sweaters, including a cozy yellow and white oversized striped job and a savory color palette was unexpected: Tobacco brown, bold red and orange. On every seat, a chic, resin cuff bracelet to celebrate Lacoste’s new jewelry collection. Merci Monsieur Lemaire, and au revoir!
