So, true confession time.
I have long coveted a Chanel jacket. Really, every time I see one the lust level rises many degrees.
If you share my love for the classic-with-an-edge look that Karl Lagerfeld brings to just about everything he does, you have probably been waiting as eagerly as I to get your hands on his capsule collection for Macy’s.
It's set to appear on Aug. 31 in more than 200 stores -- including Manhasset, Smith Haven and Roosevelt Field, along with macys.com.
The store invited fashion types to a SoHo gallery recently to get a first glimpse of the collection with pieces priced between $50 and $170. And if any of us were expecting the Chanel experience for that, well . . . you know.
Still the clothes have that Lagerfeld look about them, especially the chic black and white numbers like this flirty little dress with the pointy collar. And a tweedy dress with the designer’s signature high collar is a great fall party look.
“To me Macy's is the perfect department store in the U.S., where everybody can find what they're looking for without ruining their budget," Lagerfeld said in a statment. “That's why I am happy to make this limited collection just for Macy’s.”
