LI moms offer personalized footwear

Long Islanders love to follow trends, but dressing like everyone else can get boring after a while. The good news? Now you don't have to leave the island to find footwear that no one else has.
After five years of designing and manufacturing Read My Feet flip flops stamped with fun words and logos, Long Island moms Karyn Greenblatt and Lisa Zorfas launched a company called SwagStamp this month.
SwagStamp is a 3-D monogramming service that personalizes Hunter boots, Havaianas and Converse sneakers with initials and other customizable icons.
Recently featured on The Today Show as a way to transition your wardrobe into fall, SwagStamps cost about $50 plus the cost of shoes. You can shop for shoes at swagstamp.com and then choose your stamp, or send in your old Hunter boots for a SwagStamp makeover.
SwagStamp shoes are now also available at Lester's, including the stores in Greenvale and Huntington.
