Many Long Islanders are on their third day without power due to Hurricane Sandy's wrath, and shopping malls are the perfect place to find light, power outlets, food, entertainment, warm clothes and sometimes WiFi.
Here's the rundown on which Long Island malls are open for business Thursday, and which are still closed and working on recovering power.
Open:
Broadway Mall, Hicksville: WiFi is working at Panera, but the signal is in and out.
Roosevelt Field Mall, Garden City: The Apple Store is a great place to re-charge and get WiFi, but it's crowded.
Tanger Outlets: The Arches, Deer Park
Tanger Outlets, Riverhead: Select stores are open while others remain without power.
Westfield Sunrise Mall, Massapequa: WiFi is working in and around Starbucks on the lower level.
Closed:
The Americana Shops, Manhasset
Green Acres Mall, Valley Stream
